Aura RAL Colour Radiators – Information, Warranty & Terms
At Designer Radiator Showroom, we offer a wide selection of RAL colour radiators, allowing you to personalise your heating to complement your home, interior design and individual style.
Whether you are looking for a subtle neutral shade, a bold statement colour or a finish to coordinate with your décor, our made-to-order RAL colour options offer flexibility and choice.
Before placing your order, please read the following important information regarding colour selection, manufacturing, delivery, installation, maintenance, returns and warranty coverage.
1. RAL Colour Selection & Accuracy
Our RAL colour radiators are finished according to the RAL colour code selected when placing your order.
Colours displayed on websites, mobile phones, computer screens and printed materials may differ from the actual finished product.
Differences in lighting, screen settings and surrounding décor can affect how a colour appears.
We strongly recommend checking your chosen colour against an official physical RAL colour chart before ordering.
Minor variations in colour appearance, sheen and texture may occur due to the finishing process.
Customers are responsible for checking that the selected RAL colour code is correct before confirming their order. Once your bespoke order has been placed, changes to the selected colour cannot be guaranteed.
2. Made-to-Order Manufacturing & Delivery
Our RAL colour radiators are specially finished according to your chosen RAL colour specification.
Estimated Delivery Time: 1-2 Weeks
RAL colour radiators are made to order, with an estimated delivery period of 1-2 weeks. Delivery times may vary depending on production schedules, colour availability and demand. Delivery estimates begin once your order and RAL colour selection have been confirmed. We will notify you of any significant delays. We recommend waiting until your radiator has been delivered and inspected before booking installation.
Please note: Where your RAL radiator is genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, cancellations and change-of-mind returns are not accepted once the order is placed. Your statutory rights for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are unaffected.
3. Cancellations, Returns & Exchanges
Our Aura RAL colour radiators are painted to order in the RAL shade selected by the customer. Where the product is genuinely made to the customer's individual specifications or clearly personalised, it is treated as a bespoke item for cancellation and change-of-mind returns purposes.
For these bespoke RAL colour orders, we do not accept cancellations, changes or change-of-mind returns once the order has been placed. Please check all details carefully before confirming your purchase.
The usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to products that genuinely meet the legal definition of made-to-specification or clearly personalised goods. This exception does not automatically apply merely because a product is ordered or painted on demand.
If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. Please contact us promptly so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy.
If you believe there is an error in your order, contact our customer service team immediately. We cannot guarantee amendments or cancellation after an order has been placed.
4. Five-Year Radiator Warranty
Our qualifying RAL colour radiators are supplied with a 5-year warranty, commencing from the original purchase date.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal domestic operating conditions, subject to the terms of the applicable product guarantee.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Incorrect installation or unsuitable fittings.
- Improper use, accidental damage or unauthorised modifications.
- Internal corrosion caused by inadequate system water treatment.
- Sludge, debris or contamination within the heating system.
- Exposure to unsuitable chemicals or corrosive substances.
- Damage caused by abrasive cleaning products or improper maintenance.
- Normal wear and tear.
Any separate warranty applying to the RAL paint coating will be confirmed in the applicable product guarantee.
Fitting and labour costs: The 5-year commercial warranty covers qualifying radiator defects only. It does not include costs associated with removing, reinstalling or replacing the radiator, including labour, plumbing alterations, draining or refilling the system, or making good surrounding finishes. This exclusion does not affect any statutory rights or remedies that may apply.
5. Installation & Central Heating System Requirements
Correct installation and ongoing system maintenance are essential for the performance and longevity of your radiator.
We recommend that all radiators are installed by a suitably qualified and competent heating professional.
The central heating system should be assessed and appropriately cleaned before installation, particularly where an existing radiator is being replaced.
A suitable corrosion inhibitor must be used and maintained in accordance with the treatment manufacturer's instructions.
Installation and water treatment should follow the radiator manufacturer's guidance and applicable standards, including BS 7593.
Important: Radiator valves are not included unless otherwise stated. Please refer to our valve guide to select suitable valves.
6. Powerflushing & Ongoing Maintenance
To help protect your radiator and central heating system against sludge, rust and internal corrosion, Designer Radiator Showroom recommends arranging a professional system assessment and, where appropriate, a powerflush at least every two years.
A powerflush is a specialist cleaning process designed to remove accumulated sludge, corrosion deposits and debris from central heating systems.
However, a full powerflush may not be necessary for every heating system at every two-year interval. Your heating engineer should assess the condition of the system and recommend the appropriate cleaning or treatment method.
We also recommend:
- Checking system water quality and inhibitor concentration annually.
- Maintaining the correct level of corrosion inhibitor.
- Investigating cold spots, unusual radiator noises or reduced heating performance.
- Following the heating engineer's recommendations for cleaning and maintenance.
Please retain all powerflushing certificates, water treatment records and maintenance documentation as evidence of proper system care. These records may be requested when investigating a warranty claim involving suspected internal corrosion, sludge or water contamination.
To meet the requirements of the 5-year commercial warranty, the heating system must be appropriately maintained and checked for corrosion, sludge and contamination, with professional powerflushing carried out where an assessment identifies that it is required. Keep an itemised invoice from the heating professional confirming the system checks and any recommended cleaning or powerflushing completed.
The absence of a powerflush certificate alone does not automatically invalidate the warranty or your statutory consumer rights.
7. Warranty Claims & Supporting Documentation
If you experience a problem with your radiator during the warranty period, please contact Designer Radiator Showroom with details of the issue.
To help us investigate your claim, we may request:
- Your original order number or proof of purchase.
- Photographs or videos clearly showing the reported fault.
- Installation details and relevant installer documentation.
- Powerflushing or system-cleaning certificates, where applicable.
- Evidence of corrosion inhibitor treatment.
- Relevant system-water testing and maintenance records.
- An itemised invoice from a suitably qualified heating professional confirming that the heating system has been checked for corrosion and that any required powerflushing or corrective treatment has been completed.
Depending on the nature of the reported fault, further inspection or technical assessment may be necessary.
Warranty claims will be reviewed individually, taking into account the type of defect, installation conditions, system maintenance and applicable guarantee terms.
8. Cleaning & Care of RAL Finishes
To preserve the appearance of your RAL colour radiator:
- Clean the surface using a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid abrasive sponges, scouring pads and harsh chemical cleaners.
- Do not use acidic, solvent-based or corrosive cleaning products.
- Avoid scratching, chipping or damaging the painted surface.
- Wipe away spills and moisture promptly.
- Follow any additional manufacturer-specific cleaning instructions.
Damage caused by inappropriate cleaning, impacts or misuse may not be covered by the manufacturer's finish warranty.
9. Important Information Before Ordering
Please ensure that you:
- Select the correct radiator model, size, orientation and column configuration.
- Double-check your chosen RAL colour code.
- Review the estimated manufacturing and delivery lead time.
- Check the radiator's BTU output against your room's heating requirements.
- Confirm that your existing heating system is suitable for the radiator.
- Select compatible valves and any additional accessories required.
- Read the warranty, installation and returns information before completing your purchase.
10. Your Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer legislation.
The 5-year commercial warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.
Where a product is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements, customers may have rights to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy regardless of the commercial warranty conditions.
