FLAT PANEL RADIATOR FAQs

WHAT IS A FLAT RADIATOR?

A Flat Panel Radiator is a radiator constructed from flat tubes, creating a sleek and simple design, perfectly suited for any room décor. Available in both vertical and horizontal and single and double models, Flat Panel Radiators are the ideal choice for any room and can be installed throughout your home for a cohesive look.

WHAT FINISHES DO FLAT RADIATORS COME IN?

Most Flat Panel Radiators come in standard gloss white or textured white and anthracite grey. Some models available from Designer Radiator Showroom can be specially painted in a huge range of RAL Colours and Finishes, depending on the model.

ARE FLAT RADIATORS HARD TO INSTALL?

A Flat Panel Radiator will be installed very similarly to a standard panel one. Each Flat Panel Radiator will arrive with the correct brackets and fixings to allow it to be wall-mounted. Flat Panel Radiators are usually hung onto four sets of brackets, securing it to your wall.

WHAT VALVES DO I NEED FOR A FLAT RADIATOR?

The valves you need will depend on your pipework and your design preferences. We have a handy guide to help you choose your valves. You will need to check what connections your radiator has, Side Connections or Underneath Connections. Side connections will be on opposite sides of the bottom corners of your radiator. Underneath connections will be directly underneath the bottom corners of your radiator. Some radiator models have underneath connections in the centre.

DO I NEED A SINGLE OR DOUBLE FLAT PANEL RADIATOR?

The answer to this depends on many factors. First, work out how much heat you need from your new radiator with our handy BTU Calculator. If you need a high heat output, consider Double models. If you have a small space on your wall for your new radiator to be installed, choosing a double model will maximise heat without taking up too much room. If you have a small, narrow area like a hallway or cloakroom, a Single radiator will have a slimmer depth and won’t stick out from the wall.
